Westboro is an active community and residents enjoy biking and hiking the many scenic trails along the Ottawa River as well as water-based activities such as boating and white-water rafting along the rapids. Schools and Churches
Westboro residents have access to highly-rated academic institutions in the neighbourhood, these include The Westboro Montessori School, Hilson Avenue Public School, and Blyth Academy Ottawa Lower School.
All Saints Anglican Church Westboro and Westminster Presbyterian Church are the two churches located in Westboro.
