The close-knit community hosts several family friendly events each year. In September, Rock the Block gives neighbours a chance to get together and enjoy live music, games and exhibitions for children, and food sold by local restaurants with an outdoor movie ending the evening’s festivities. In addition, the Manor Park Community Council is very active and offers numerous recreational programs including a skating party, chili cook-off, movie nights, and holiday events, among others. The neighbourhood also features hiking and cycling paths, sports fields, children’s play structures, a splash pad, and parks.
