Overbrook is a growing and affordable area located close to the Rideau River and is both culturally and architecturally diverse. Most of the houses in this quiet residential area were built between 1940-1960 and prices range from $250K-$600K for detached homes to $250K-$700K for attached homes. The Overbrook-MacArthur Community Association is very active and is highly involved in revitalizing the neighbourhood.

Recreation

The Overbrook Community Centre has been newly renovated and offers a wide selection of activities and courses for all ages including fitness, art, and much more. Overbrook also has sports fields, baseball diamonds, outdoor skating rinks, tennis courts, wading pools, play structures, and a splash pad for children. In addition, Overbrook is one of the few communities in Ottawa that boasts a community garden.

Shopping and Dining

Nearby St. Laurent Shopping Centre offers Overbrook residents plentiful shopping options as well as the Ottawa Trainyards, which features numerous shops from big box retailers to grocery stores. Plenty of restaurants and bars are also located within close proximity to Overbrook. Residents have a variety of choices for dining and nightlife including those right in the neighbourhood itself.

Schools and Churches

There are many great schools in Overbrook, including Education Permanente, Queen Mary Street Public School, Saint Clement Academy, Saint Michael Elementary School, and Vinci School. Churches include Eglise Evangelique Du Nazareen, Paroisses Catholiques Romaines, Seventh-Day Adventist of Ottawa East, St. Charbel Maronite Catholic Parish, St. Ignatius Martyr Church, and Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church.
